I’ve always loved vibrant color selections and love to design with them. Colors are an amazing way to convey emotion and personality, and can totally transform the look of a wedding. Plus, they can be downright fun and exciting!
We created a setting for an intimate wedding dinner party celebration to celebrate a creative and fun-loving couple’s nuptials. Inspired by their shared love of music, modern art, and eclectic vintage treasures, we set out to create a vibrant color palette with striking pops of lush reds and dusky teal. Fun and funky textures and unexpected elements like bride’s vintage inspired red dress and lush velvet linens added personality. Clear acrylic invitations, ghost chairs, and a clean white backdrop balanced the intense colors and kept the look bright and crisp.

The starting point for the color palette was actually inspired by my grandparents wedding. In the only colored photo they had printed, they’re posed at the altar of the church, beaming with happiness. My grandmother wears the palest blue satin dress, clutches a lush bouquet of red roses, and bright crimson lips amplify her smile. I was so inspired by her fearless use of color, and wanted to create an editorial with a modern flair and a nod to my grandmother’s classic style.
