Our wedding inspiration took place at the picturesque beaches along the river at Palisades-Kepler State Park, a gem of a place located outside Mount Vernon, Iowa-filled with lush forests, historic stone lodges, bold cliffs and scenic river bluffs. This delightful wedding inspiration shows that just because we are landlocked here in Iowa, we can get creative and have that waterfront wedding so many of us look for! The palette began with colors inspired by the warm sand and dusty blue sky. The florals started with a base of dusty green and white, and added soft shell and coral tones to warm up the bouquet. There were loads of lush texture, starting with the king protea surrounded with roses, scabiosa, sweet pea, sea oats, and olive.
